OVERVIEW

Just as you enter in Savoca you will see the ‘Bar Vitelli’ with its splendid terrace. Everything here is just like in the movie, the table where Michael discusses his proposed marriage to Apollonia with her father, the door curtains , and even the lovely stroll along the village’s main street that from the bar, lead up to the church where the scene of the wedding between Apollonia and Michael was shot. A stop for a lemon granita at Bar Vitelli is “a must” for any visitor in town. It is still run by the family who owned it at the time of filming and has got a collection of photos taken when Francis Ford Coppola shot some scenes of “The Godfather II”. We also leave you time to explore further and really soak up the atmosphere of this hidden, so “not for tourists”, Sicilian hilltown.
Some of sights to see are located at nearby hill town of Forza D’Agrò, where Al Pacino shown to Diane Keaton, the house where his father was born and where Vito escapes to the USA hotly pursued by Don Ciccio’s men. Forza d’Agrò is a charming little village overlooks the Arab-Norman castle of Capo Sant’Alessio. It has featured as the backdrop in a number of movies of which the most popular is the Godfather trilogy. Even here, we will enjoy a walking tour through the old medieval historical centre. From the central piazza, dramatic steps, and a crumbling arch, lead to a beautiful church where some scene of Godfather III was shot. The ancient hill-top town layout is still as it has been since the middle ages, a warren of narrow streets and tiny houses leading up to the ruined castle. The view from the village, looking out over the surrounding is amazing.

With more participants than two people the price lowers gradually. Over 14 years old, same price as adults. (it is applied a 20% off to guys aged 12-14, who travel with at least two full paying adults).

HOW TO BOOK

Privately, a booking form – which  incorporates all terms and conditions (deposit, payment, cancellation and responsibility) – will be sent you, to be signed for acceptance.  If the booking is made within 30 days before the tour’s start date, the full amount is required at the time of reservation. The deposit will be treated as part payment of the total amount due. Inquiry
